Dr Ben Reeves is the Northern Region Medical Consultant. He grew up in North Queensland, trained in Brisbane and overseas, including Fiji for two years. He has a keen interest in rheumatic heart disease and structural heart disease in children. He has experience in small countries overseas medical aid including Timor-Leste, Fiji, Solomon islands and Tuvalu.
Ben is currently working in Cairns Hospital as paediatric cardiologist and visits a number of communities in the Cape and Torres Strait.
