Julia’s involvement with Rotary began in Northam, where she was a member of Inner Wheel in the 1970s. Following a significant break, Julia was working in Parramatta and found herself far from home in a large city. While walking along the river one afternoon, she decided to contact the local Rotary Club as a way to establish new connections within the community.

This proved to be a valuable decision, and more than 10 years later, the friendships formed through the Parramatta club remain strong. During her time there, Julia held the roles of International Director and Sergeant-at-Arms.

The COVID period brought Julia back to Western Australia, where she settled in Busselton and joined the Rotary Club of Busselton-Geographe Bay. There, she continued to develop strong friendships and contribute actively to club life. Through her professional travel across Australia and the United States, Julia also visited numerous Rotary clubs, gaining valuable insight into the operations and approaches of clubs in different regions.

Julia has served as International Director and currently holds the position of Club Service Director at Busselton.
