Brenden recovering after successful heart surgery

Brenden, aged 12, is recovering at Auckland’s Starship Children’s Hospital from successful heart surgery to repair damage caused by rheumatic fever.

Brenden (pictured above in the recovery ward with his mother Vanessa) will be in Auckland a little longer to ensure his recovery is complete before he returns home to Vanuatu. Brenden arrived in New Zealand last month.

ROMAC New Zealand appreciates of the support of the cardiac surgeons and nurses at Starship Children's Hospital and the care and support of Ronald McDonald House, Auckland.
