Keysha arrives in NZ for cardiac surgery

New Zealand Rotarians have welcomed 12-year-old Keysha from Port Vila, Vanuatu, to Auckland.

Keysha (pictured above with her grandmother Eniva) is due to have cardiac surgery and has just had her first medical appointments at Auckland’s Starship Children’s Hospital.

Keysha's mother Wendy has flown in from Australia to be with her daughter for the medical tests and hopefully the operation.

Both Keysha and Eniva speak good English, and are on WhatsApp to keep family and friends updated.

Keysha's first medical appointment went well and subject to further satisfactory tests, she is on track for her operation shortly.

Keysha, Eniva and Wendy are being supported by a team from Remuera Rotary.
