A member of the Rotary Club of Drummoyne, Mark has produced three videos featuring children treated by ROMAC. The videos feature on the ROMAC Youtube channel and can be viewed here:
Mark, whose business Mark Tanner Sound helps television and documentary makers tell their stories, has generously given his time, expertise, patience and creativity over many months to produce the videos.
They capture not only the medical journeys of our children but also the hope, compassion and Rotary spirit that make ROMAC such a special program.
Eastern Region team members have used the videos in presentations to Rotary clubs, conferences and community groups.
They have become a powerful way of telling the ROMAC story. While we can talk about the number of children treated, seeing the faces of the children and hearing their stories — especially from their families — brings home the real impact of what ROMAC achieves.
With Mark's help volunteers have been able to show audiences exactly how their support and generosity can transform a child's life.
The videos demonstrate that every donation, every fundraiser and every volunteer contribution play a part in giving a child access to specialist medical care that would otherwise be unavailable.
The videos have also helped us thank and acknowledge supporters of ROMAC, including residents of a retirement village who generously donated many suitcases for our families to use when returning home after treatment. As many of us know, families often arrive with very little and leave with far more, making these donations both practical and greatly appreciated.
